As the Seychelles does not issue visas, foreign nationals traveling to the Seychelles do not require a Business Visa.  A Visitor Permit (VP) is issued upon arrival and is initially valid for one month.  Visitor Permits can initially be extended for another two months and thereafter in three month increments, but must not exceed 12 months in total.

A Work Permit does not need to be secured prior to entry into the Seychelles.  After initial entry on a Visitor Permit, foreign nationals may obtain a Gainful Occupation Permit which allows them to reside and work in the Seychelles.  Immigration authorities will determine the validity of the Gainful Occupation Permit but they are generally issued for the duration of the employment contract.  Gainful Occupation Permits may be renewed, and allow the foreign national to make multiple entries to and from the Seychelles.

Note that the Visitor Permit should not be used for ongoing work in the Seychelles. It should be used for such activities as attending meetings, participating in seminars or meeting clients. Should a foreign national travel to the Seychelles on repeat or frequent visits, particularly if there is any question of s/he undertaking work, the Visitor Permit may not be the appropriate permit. Seychelles immigration authorities will determine the need for work authorization on entry, based on the period of stay, the frequency of travel and the nature of the activities conducted.
