Taiwan: New Polio Vaccination Requirement for Certain Travelers

The Taiwan government announced that foreign nationals applying for a Taiwan visa must now submit proof of vaccination for polio if they have lived in or visited any of the following countries for more than four weeks in the past year: Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Israel, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique or Pakistan. Affected applicants must submit their International Certificates of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (Yellow Book) issued by a hospital or healthcare professional with their polio vaccinations recorded as proof.
