Taiwan: Removal of Entry & Exit Permit Amendment Application Requirement for Intra-Company Transfers
March 24, 2023
The National Immigration Agency (NIA) of Taiwan announced that Exit & Entry Permit (EEP) Amendment Applications are no longer required for certain changes in circumstances of individuals under the intra-company transfer category. Previously, EEP holders for intra-company transfers from Mainland China were required to submit an activity amendment plan to declare any changes in hotel address or entry/exit dates that were initially approved by the NIA. EEP holders with changes to their main activities and duration of stay, however, must still apply for a new EEP to be eligible to conduct the new activity or work under the new duration of stay. EEP holders under the service performance category are also still required to file an Amendment Application for any such changes.
