Thailand: Changes to Documentary Requirements for Long-Stay Visa Extension/Renewal at Certain Government Offices

The Immigration Bureau Chaengwattana and Immigration Bureau Samut Prakarn announced that the following documents are no longer required to obtain a long-stay visa extension/renewal: a copy of form and receipt of Corporate Income Tax for the latest fiscal year (P.N.D. 50); a copy of form and receipt of monthly Value Added Tax return (Phor Por 30 form) for the three months prior to filing; and a copy of form and receipt of monthly social security contribution for the three months prior to filing. Furthermore, the Immigration Bureau Chaengwattana is now requiring that applicants for a long-stay visa extension/renewal include a copy of an identity document for all authorized directors who have their names on the company affidavit (i.e., copy of identification card or passport and work permit if the individual is a foreign national). Individuals submitting applications should ensure that all supporting documentation included is up-to-date with the latest changes to documentary requirements. It is possible that the One Stop Service Center may also adopt the same policies as the Immigration Bureau Chaengwattana. Immigration officials also have discretion to request additional documents.
