Thailand: Mobile Visa Services for Selected BOI-Promoted Companies Launched

The Immigration Bureau, in coordination with the Board of Investment (BOI), has launched a pilot Mobile Visa Service for selected BOI-promoted companies. The initiative allows visa endorsements and issuance of digital work permits to be completed outside normal government office hours and at company-designated locations, helping to ease appointment backlogs in the Single Window system and enable faster commencement of work for foreign nationals. The service is available only to companies with urgent needs and a large foreign workforce, subject to officer availability, and applies to individuals who have already received full approval from the BOI, Immigration, and the Department of Employment. Eligible companies may request participation by submitting a formal letter to Division 3 of the Immigration Bureau at the Thailand Investment and Expat Services Center, including a list of foreign nationals and preferred service dates.
