All government offices in South Korea will be closed starting the afternoon of September 29 through October 9 due to a series of holidays that fall together this year, including the Chusok holidays, National Foundation Day and Hangeul Day.
Normal working hours will resume on October 10.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
If possible, employers and foreign nationals should postpone submission of immigration applications until after the holidays. Applications filed closer to this period are expected to experience longer processing times and delays as a result of application backlogs that accumulate during the closures.
