Mackenzie is an Associate based out of Fragomen’s San Francisco office. She has experience assisting clients with a wide range of nonimmigrant and immigrant matters.

Prior to joining Fragomen as an Associate in 2015, Mackenzie served as an Attorney at a Toronto-based law firm where she managed a high volume nonimmigrant caseload for a Fortune 100 client. While attending law school, Mackenzie worked with Fragomen as a Law Clerk in Boston and served as a judicial intern for the Executive Office for Immigration Review in Portland.

Mackenzie worked with the Boston College Law School Ninth Circuit Appellate Project where she researched, briefed and argued a pro bono immigration case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also took part in the Boston College Law School Immigration and Asylum Clinic where she argued before Boston Immigration Court. Mackenzie has volunteered with numerous migration-related nonprofits including the Post-Deportation Human Rights Project and the MIRA Coalition in Boston, Catholic Charities in Miami, and Helping Link and the Refugee Women’s Alliance in Seattle.

Mackenzie speaks English and French.

Drafted a wide range of nonimmigrant, immigrant and adjustment of status filings for foreign national employees and their families.

Prepared EB-1 extraordinary ability and national interest waiver petitions for distinguished scientists. 

Drafted judicial opinions for two immigration judges on cases including asylum and cancellation of removal. 

Assembled H-1B petitions for international scholars and maintained a directory of immigration status for over 1,500 individuals.
