Kari is a Manager in Fragomen's Frankfurt office. Originally from the U.S., she assists clients with U.S. consular and petition-based matters across the EMEA region, including working with treaty investors, specialist employees and intra-company transfers. Kari also assists with immigrant visa applications for families relocating to the U.S.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Kari was a Research Fellow for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s German Chancellor Fellowship Program. Kari also has worked at the South Dakota State Department of Social Services, where she helped draft state legislation.

Kari speaks English and German.

Advised and assisted a client throughout its expansion into the U.S. to ensure that the plans and partnership structure would satisfy E-2 investor requirements. Also facilitated the immigration compliant transfers and intermittent work of its employees in the U.S.

Assisted in the approval of I-130 petition filings and immigrant visa processing (‘green card’ process) at different European Consulate posts.

Assisted in L visa applications, which required sourcing additional evidence from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), including demonstration of specialized knowledge and documentation of complicated corporate relationships.

Assisted with the consular processing of visa applications for large groups traveling on an urgent basis for Fortune 500 companies.
