Alex is a Manager within Fragomen's private client practice. He has more than 12 years' experience across the full range of UK immigration matters.

Alex assists a range of private clients with their personal immigration matters. His areas of focus include entrepreneurs particularly in the digital technology sector, and investors seeking international relocations. He regularly advises on international adoption and surrogacy arrangements and often delivers presentations in this area. He also has a particular interest in claims through ancestry for British and Italian citizenship.

Alex often handles complex applications outside of the immigration rules relying on discretion and managing approaches to the Home Office where needed. He has brought several successful challenges to the Home Office in appeals and review cases.

Alex is regularly instructed to provide ad hoc strategic advice to international clients managing their travel and relocations, often in conjunction with other legal professionals in areas such as tax and family law, as well as immigration professionals in other jurisdictions.

In addition to his role in the private client practice, Alex carries out a knowledge management function for Fragomen’s UK inbound teams. He provides analysis, training and technical updates to the wider practice on changes in UK immigration law as they occur.

Alex studied philosophy at Girton College, Cambridge before completing a law degree from the University of Law in Guildford. He qualified at a legal aid practice specialising in asylum and human rights claims before joining Fragomen in 2015.
