As a Senior Associate in Fragomen’s Advisory and Compliance Practice in Australia, Alisra provides advice to help clients remain compliant with all laws and regulations governing Australian immigration. Prior to joining this group, Alisra served in a variety of roles at Fragomen, including as an Associate on a corporate client team. She initially began her career at Fragomen as a Summer Clerk in 2008, before becoming a paralegal while she completed her law degree.

During her career with Fragomen, Alisra has participated in the Immigration Advice and Application Assistance Scheme (IAAAS), which provides professional assistance to individual clients in relation to claims for protection, at both an application and review stage. She has also completed secondments in Fragomen’s Brisbane, Australia and Shanghai, China offices.

Reviewed the immigration program and processes of a multinational company to provide recommendations on strengthening compliance with Australian immigration laws.

Presented workforce migration training sessions at clients’ offices on the importance of employing staff with the correct work rights.

Together with Asia-Pacific Fragomen colleagues, provided immigration advice on the implications of a merger and acquisition on a client’s foreign employees in Australia.
