Monica is an Associate in the San Diego office, where she assists individual and corporate clients with the filing of PERM applications, employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, adjustment of status applications, outstanding researcher petitions and extraordinary ability petitions.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Monica was an Associate at a San Diego immigration law practice, where she handled a wide range of immigration matters including cancellation of removal, asylum, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, and naturalization applications.

Monica is a volunteer attorney for Casa Cornelia Law Center, where she prepares VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) petitions for immigrant victims of domestic violence and U visa petitions for immigrant victims of crimes. She also volunteered for Casa Cornelia Law Center during law school and represented a detained asylum seeker before the San Diego Executive Office for Immigration Review. Monica successfully obtained a grant of asylum for her client.

Monica speaks English and Spanish.
