Rick provides strategic guidance to corporate clients on a wide array of Canadian immigration matters. His practice encompasses applications via the Intracompany Transfer category, the USMCA/CUSMA and other free trade agreements, Labor Market Impact Assessments, as well as permanent residence.

More broadly, Rick also regularly advises on issues of corporate immigration compliance and inadmissibility issues. Rick’s in-depth understanding of Canadian immigration law and policy makes him a trusted advisor to organizations navigating complex immigration challenges.

With experience spanning industries such as information technology, manufacturing, oil and gas, finance and professional services, Rick offers tailored solutions that align with his clients’ strategic goals. He works closely with officials at inland processing centers, Canadian ports of entry and consulates, as well as high commissions and embassies worldwide, to facilitate smooth immigration outcomes for his clients.

Rick is also a sought-after speaker on Canadian immigration issues, having presented at notable forums such as the Canadian Employee Relocation Council, the American Chamber of Commerce – Canadian Chapter, NetExpat, The Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law and Bishop’s University.

In addition to his professional work, Rick is passionate about supporting international students. He volunteers at Bishop’s University, using his experience to assist foreign student athletes with immigration matters, including eligibility requirements and pathways to Canadian permanent residence.

Rick speaks English and is conversant in French.
