Valerie is a Director at Fragomen’s Johannesburg office, where she leads the Africa Coordination Centre (ACC) and oversees Consular and Document Procurement across Sub-Saharan Africa. She advises multinational organizations on complex immigration, mobility and compliance matters, with a particular focus on navigating high-risk jurisdictions and evolving regulatory environments across the African continent.
Valerie has extensive experience in global mobility strategy, immigration operations and human capital management. She works closely with clients across sectors including mining, energy, banking, infrastructure, technology and engineering, supporting both short-term project deployments and long-term workforce planning. Her work spans the full spectrum of immigration processes, including work authorizations, business travel, consular processing, appeals and regulatory advisory, often in jurisdictions with limited procedural transparency.
Valerie is known for her ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders and consular authorities across Africa, enabling more effective navigation of complex immigration frameworks. Valerie also plays a key role in business development and strategic growth, working with clients to position mobility as an enabler of investment and operational continuity across the region.
