Fragomen has recently been recognized for promoting a racially and ethnically diverse attorney workforce in Law360’s 2017 Diversity Snapshot. The firm tied at #1 on this year’s list of best law firms (with 300-599 attorneys) for minority attorneys.
In developing the rankings, Law360 grouped firms based on U.S. attorney headcount in order to evaluate them with similar-sized peers. It excluded any firm that had below-average minority representation at any single level of the firm and then ranked the rest based on their percentage of minority attorneys both at the non-partner and partner level.
Fragomen was also ranked #1 on this year’s Law360 list of best law firms (with 300-599 attorneys) for minority equity partners. For these rankings, Law360 leaves out the non-equity tier and also separates firms into size categories in order to present a better peer-to-peer comparison.
The average number of minority equity partners was 7.87 percent overall, while Fragomen's percentage was more than twice the average, at 18.5 percent. More than 33 percent of Fragomen’s overall U.S. attorney population self-identifies as ethnic minorities.
