
Congratulations to our team in India, who were recognised for the “Best Rural Development and Infrastructure Initiative,” in the recent Bangalore Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s CSR impact awards.
We were cited for our sponsorship of phase one of a three-stage programme aimed at rejuvenating Yettikere Lake, near the village of Kakolu. The lakebed and vicinity that spans 60 acres has been dysfunctional for nearly 40 years, owing to several environmental reasons. This has adversely affected the agrarian efforts of the farmers in the village of and other adjacent villages, which have since either abandoned farming or resorted to borewells.
Reviving the lake ensures re-establishing biodiversity in its flora and fauna and providing a major water source for the farmers. Well done to all involved!
