Albania: Delayed Implementation of New Immigration Law

The implementation of Albania’s immigration law changes, which will introduce a legislative framework for a single permit for work and residence called the Unique Permit, has been delayed until September 2022, up from the mid-2022 projection previously published. The Unique Permit would be available for digital nomads, so the delayed implementation will impact the possibility to apply for this visa type. Fragomen will report on relevant developments.
