Associate Ashish Bhatt has been appointed to the Board of the South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY), one of 29 chapters of the South Asian Bar Association of North America located throughout the U.S. and Canada. Ashish will serve as the Board’s Vice President of Fellowships and Law Student Relations.
SABANY is a voluntary bar association dedicated to the needs, concerns and interests of lawyers of South Asian heritage and is committed to promoting the professional development of the South Asian legal community. SABANY also aims to ensure the civil liberties of the South Asian community in New York by acting as a conduit between the South Asian community and legal services and educational programs in the area. The association’s goal is to educate South Asian Americans about their legal system and to encourage more participation by the community in the legal profession.
