Bahamas/Ghana: Visa Waiver Agreement Implemented in the Bahamas

Update - February 6, 2025: Ghana has implemented the visa waiver for Bahamian nationals, granting them visa-free entry into Ghana for tourism or business for a period of up to 90 days within a six-month period.
May 2, 2024: A bilateral agreement signed by the governments of the Bahamas and Ghana to facilitate movement between the two countries has been implemented in the Bahamas, confirming visa-free entry for nationals to Ghana traveling to the Bahamas for tourism or business. The maximum allowable stay in the Bahamas for nationals of Ghana will be at the discretion of immigration authorities upon entry (note that the typical maximum allowable consecutive stay for business visitors to the Bahamas is usually up to two weeks). Fragomen is monitoring the implementation of the agreement in Ghana (it is undergoing ratification) and will report on relevant updates.
