The location change is causing applicants for immigration processes to face long wait times, because the FRRO’s servers are temporarily down. Applicants may be asked by FRRO officials to visit multiple times to obtain residential permits or for other services. Foreign nationals and their employers should be prepared for delays in Bengaluru and plan accordingly.
The FRRO has not provided information about when it is expected to resume normal functions. So far, the FRRO has not indicated whether the location change will result in changes to processes or documentation.
The new FRRO location is not as centrally located as its previous office, which will increase the travel time to the FRRO for most applicants. The FRRO’s new address is:
