The One Year Residential Certificate program for digital nomads officially ended on February 28, 2025. Applications for this certificate are no longer being accepted. The program allowed foreign nationals who were employed by or owned a company operating outside of Bermuda, as well as university-level students, to reside and work or study remotely from Bermuda for up to one year. Current certificate holders have 90 days from their certificate’s expiration date to leave Bermuda. Foreign nationals who had entered under this visa who want to remain in Bermuda, and new applicants, may be eligible to apply for Permission to Reside on an Annual Basis, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Foreign nationals already in Bermuda should submit their applications one to two months before their one-year residential Certificate expires.
