Brunei: Significant Processing Delays for Business/Work Visa Applications

The government of Brunei has recently implemented an online submission process for its business/work visa application process with the Labour Department, under which employers or authorized third-party representatives submit the application through the Labor Department’s portal. Previously, these applications were submitted in person at the Labor Department office. Due to the adoption of the new online submission system, the government processing time for business/work visa applications has recently increased from 15 business days to 30 business days. It is not clear when these delays will subside.
