Business travel to China can involve several important immigration considerations, including whether a traveler qualifies for visa-free entry, what activities are permitted and how long a visa may be valid.
In this Mobility Minute, Manager Maja Sugui outlines three key points for travelers to keep in mind when planning a business trip to China. Certain travelers, including citizens of many EU countries, may currently be eligible for visa-free entry for short business or tourism stays. However, longer stays and some travelers, including third-country nationals residing in Germany, may still require a visa.
The video also highlights that business activities can involve gray areas and compliance risks. Depending on the nature of the activities, such as providing services on site, a work visa may be required.
Fragomen can help assess individual travel circumstances and guide travelers through the appropriate visa process to support a smooth business trip.
