Canada: Nova Scotia Launches New Francophone Immigration Action Plan

The province of Nova Scotia has released a new action plan, called The Action Plan for Success (2022-25), to grow its French-speaking population. Through this plan, which aims to attract francophone newcomers from other countries and provinces, the province aims to meet or exceed the federal government's target for French-speaking immigrants to Canada. As part of that goal, the province recently held a draw through the Labour Market Priorities stream of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program and invited 150 candidates who speak French as their first official language or have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 10 in all language abilities, to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
