Canada: Second Stage of Recognized Employer Pilot Program Opens with Expanded List of Eligible Occupations

Employment and Social Development Canada has launched the second stage of the Recognized Employer Pilot (REP) under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, adding over 80 occupations from a wide range of industry sectors to the list of eligible occupations under the program. These occupations have been determined by the government of Canada to be in demand due to insufficient domestic labor supply. The program’s first stage opened in September 2023 only for employers in the primary agriculture industry.
