Chad: Visa-Free Entry for African Nationals Forthcoming

Effective January 1, 2027, nationals of African countries will be permitted to enter Chad without a visa for tourism and business travel. This landmark initiative is intended to advance African integration, facilitate the free movement of people and goods, and promote foreign direct investment across the continent. With the implementation of this measure, Chad will join a growing number of African countries including Benin, Rwanda, The Gambia, Seychelles, Kenya, and the Republic of Congo that have adopted similar visa-free entry policies for African nationals, underscoring a broader commitment to regional cooperation and economic integration.
