China/Thailand: Mutual Visa Exemption Forthcoming

Effective March 1, 2024, nationals of China and Thailand will be visa exempt to enter each other’s country for tourism or business activities that do not require a work permit for a single stay of up to 30 days, with a cumulative stay up to 90 days in a 180-day period. Individuals traveling for activities that require prior approval, such as work, study, news reporting or settlement, must obtain the appropriate visas before entering the other country.
