Equatorial Guinea: Business and Tourist Visa Requirement for U.S. Passport Holders
April 26, 2023
Effective April 24, 2023, the Equatorial Guinea government requires U.S. passport holders to obtain a tourist and business visa at an Equatorial Guinea consular post at least 60 days before traveling to the country. U.S. passport holders already in Equatorial Guinea will need to obtain a visa when reentering the country. This requirement does not apply to U.S. diplomatic and official passport holders with an Equatorial Guinea residency permit. Previously, U.S. passport holders were not required to apply for a visa because their nationality was listed as being visa exempt under the Equatorial Guinea visa-free travel policy.
