European Union/Schengen Area: Update on Schengen Border Checks

As an update, the following countries currently apply border checks: Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway and Sweden. Details on borders and duration are published here. Internal border controls are in principle not allowed within the Schengen Area, except for temporary national security measures, though they have been in effect since late 2015 in various forms in several affected countries.
