European Union/Ukraine: Talent Pool Seeks to Match Displaced Talent with Employers
October 14, 2022

EU authorities have launched a pilot EU Talent Pool to match Temporary Protection Status holders with EU-based employers. The Talent Pool is an online job-matching tool available in English, Ukrainian and Russian via the EURES (European Employment Services) job-searching platform. Temporary Protection Status holders publish their CV in the Talent Pool, where employers from all industry sectors can access them. Additional services are available in participating EU Member States, which currently includes Croatia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland (a major receiving country) and Spain. If interested in a position in another EU Member State, Temporary Protection Status holders would need to indicate this when publishing their CV; and would need to change their Temporary Protection Status (deregister in the first state and re-apply in the second one) if deciding to move countries. The Talent Pool pilot includes a Europass CV tool to support drafting a CV in Ukrainian; and adds to the current qualification recognition and interpretation support offered by the European Training Foundation.
