Foreign university and select English language students will be permitted to work part-time during their studies. Students enrolled in a full course of classes for one academic year or more will be able to also work full-time during the summer and any vacation that is scheduled as a standard part of their academic program.
Masters and Ph.D. students will be able to work without restrictions.
Immigration New Zealand will also pilot an industry partnership initiative that will offer participating universities streamlined and prioritized visa processing.
