We are proud to announce that several attorneys in our Costa Rica office have been recognized in the fifth edition of The Best Lawyers in Costa Rica. Partners Federico Solis and Leonor Echeverria and Regional Director Leon Zarnowski were among the six lawyers recognized for immigration law in Costa Rica. Federico was also listed in the labor and employment law category. This is the fifth consecutive year that Federico, Leonor and Leon have been recognized by Best Lawyers.
In addition, Federico was recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for Immigration Law. Best Lawyers awards this title to individual lawyers with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region. Only one lawyer is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for each speciality and location.
Inclusion in Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. Best Lawyers’ methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
Federico is the Global Partner responsible for the Latin America and the Caribbean region at Fragomen. In addition to immigration law, he is experienced in the legal aspects of international business, designing compensation and benefits plans, and employment and social security treatment for foreign workers. Federico is a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee.
Leonor’s practice focuses on corporate immigration matters in Latin America. Since 2007, Leonor has provided counsel to a wide variety of corporations. She supervises the firm’s service delivery in Latin America and the Caribbean to ensure that each client’s international personnel transfer program is successfully implemented and supported.
As the Regional Director for Central America and the Caribbean, Leon is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the firm’s service delivery in this region. Leon has more than 20 years of legal experience as an immigration attorney and has been managing legal teams for more than 12 years.
