In Toronto, we have been working closely with the Herbie Fund to provide the immigration services needed to bring children from around the world to The Hospital for Sick Children, also known as “SickKids.”
The hospital is world-renowned for life-saving or life-altering surgeries—including ones not available to children in their home countries because of high costs and lack of medical expertise. More than 700 children from approximately 100 countries have received specialized medical and surgical assistance through the fund.
Our Fragomen professionals have been volunteering their time to assist SickKids with immigration advice and services that help patients and their accompanying parents obtain the necessary visas and visitor records required to travel to Canada for medical procedures.
Our Toronto office professionals have been volunteering their services since 2011.
Senior Managers Cosmina Morariu and Rick Lamanna, and Associate Parneet Malhi have already assisted with several successful cases in 2016.
