As an update, a reciprocal working holiday program between France and Peru is now available in France. The program was implemented in Peru for French citizens on February 1, 2021, but implementation in France was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the program, Peruvian nationals aged 18-30 can vacation in France for up to one year and carry out incidental paid work during this time to financially support their stay. Interested individuals apply for a long-stay working holiday visa (vacances travail) at a French consular post and provide proof of confirmed return booking or affidavit to leave France, proof of sufficient economic means, a clean criminal record and a medical health certificate, among other requirements.
