Ghana: Visa Fee Waiver for African Passport Holders Implemented

The Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that all African nationals who require a visa and intend to travel to Ghana for business or tourism purposes are now exempt from visa fees, as of May 25, 2026. Visa costs range from approximately USD 260 for a single-entry eVisa to USD 468 for a multiple-entry eVisa. Similar to Burkina Faso’s visa fee waiver policy, this development is expected to reduce travel costs for African visitors to Ghana. Additionally, the policy reaffirms Ghana’s commitment to Pan-Africanism and continental integration.
