The Hong Kong SAR government expanded its Talent List from 13 to 51 professions. The expanded list applies immediately to applicants under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), the General Employment Policy (GEP) and the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP). The updated list added two new categories, namely healthcare services and development and construction, with each containing 13 and 11 professions, respectively. The healthcare services segment includes roles such as doctors, nurses, midwives and pharmacists, while the construction category includes professionals in architecture, land surveying, town planning, and various engineering fields. The aim of this expansion is to meet Hong Kong SAR's development needs by attracting a wider range of highly-skilled talent.
