Hong Kong SAR: Visa and Work Authorization Exemption Pilot Scheme Expanded

The Hong Kong SAR government has expanded the Pilot Scheme on Immigration Facilitation for Visitors Participating in Short-term Activities in Designated Sectors (Immigration Facilitation Scheme) to include eligible visitors in the Finance and Development and Construction sectors who are invited or sponsored by authorised host organisations. Under the Immigration Facilitation Scheme, eligible foreign nationals from the 12 designated sectors may enter and conduct certain short-term activities in Hong Kong SAR without obtaining an entry visa (for visa required nationals) or work authorization for 14 days. The Hong Kong SAR government launched the Immigration Facilitation Scheme on June 1, 2022 and it will remain in effect for two years.
