The Indian government has introduced a new e-visa type, called the E-Production Investment Visa, that allows Installation and Commissioning, Quality Check and Maintenance, Production, Information Technology and Enterprise Resource Planning Ramp up, Training, Supply Chain Development for Empaneling Vendors, Plant Design and Bring up, and entry as Senior Management and Executives, to be performed for six months under a multiple-entry electronic travel authorization. The application process is online and processing takes three to seven business days for nationals who are eligible under electronic visas (longer for Chinese nationals). This new visa is specially introduced for Indian production/manufacturing companies seeking to bring in their vendor’s employees for the activities mentioned above.
