Indonesia: New Training and Competency Certificate Requirement for Work Permit Renewal Applications

Work Permit renewal applicants are now required to submit a Training/Competency Certificate showing an understudy or mentoring program involving the foreign national applicant and a local counterpart as part of their documentary requirements. Applicants must ensure that the Certificate contains the necessary items such as logo and company name, name of local counterpart, contents of the mentoring program and approval from the head of the company. The government will reject all Work Permit renewal applications that do not include the new supporting document.
