The Indonesian government has ceased issuing onshore Visit Visas or Work Visas. As a result, foreign nationals residing in Indonesia whose residence permits expire must leave the country. This cessation of onshore e-Visa issuance also implies that all new e-Visas will exclusively be available to foreign nationals entering Indonesia from abroad. However, those in possession of previously-issued onshore e-Visas can continue to process their Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) applications at local immigration offices. Fragomen strongly recommends avoiding the initiation of any new onshore e-Visa applications at this time to prevent potential issues when filing ITAS applications in the future.
