Ireland: Certain English Language Students to Be Granted Bridging Permission

The Ireland Immigration Service announced that certain English Language course students who have completed a second or third English course and subsequently enroll in a Higher Education Programme starting by the end of October 2023 will be able to obtain a Stamp 2 Bridging Permission granted from the end of their current Ireland Residence Permit until September 30, 2023. To be eligible, these individuals will be required to provide evidence that they have enrolled and fully paid for a Higher Education Programme listed on the Interim List of Eligible Providers, available online here, beginning in September 2023. The Bridging Permission will allow them to remain in legal status in Ireland while waiting for documentary evidence to renew their Stamp 2 for their higher education course.
