Ireland: Citizenship Applications Now Available Online

Update - December 12, 2023: Effective December 4, 2023, citizenship applications for minors can now be processed online.

Original entry - October 16, 2023: The Irish government announced that citizenship applications are now available online. The new application system is expected to streamline the application and payment process. Currently, citizenship applications for minors are not yet available online but are expected to be in the near future. Foreign nationals should utilize the new, online application unless they have already begun the application process via the paper-based system.
