Israeli Consulates Suspend Visa Processing

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs workers have announced a labor dispute, and it is unknown when Israeli consulates will resume accepting and processing visa applications.

It is not known how long the labor disruption will last, though it followed a standstill in a seven-month mediation process with the Israeli government.

What This Means for Employers

Employers may need to postpone imminent travel plans by foreign national workers. Even after the labor dispute is resolved, lengthy processing delays are expected for employers and employees, due to application backlogs that will develop in the meantime.
