Italy: Online Applications Now Possible for Non-Quota Intra-Corporate Work Permit
June 4, 2024
Update - June 4, 2024: In terms of necessary documentation, the government has announced that an applicant's employer must provide a financial statement and a certificate attesting to the applicant's elapsed duration of employment with the employer.
May 3, 2024: It is now possible to submit online applications for a non-quota intra-corporate work permit, which was introduced in late 2023. The work permit allows non-EU workers who have already worked for Italian companies (or their subsidiaries) operating outside the European Union to work in Italy for those same companies without being subject to any work permit quota limits. Eligible workers must have worked for the relevant company for at least 12 months in the 48 months preceding the request. The government is yet to release details about the necessary documents for such applications.
