Japan: Visa-Free Travel for Peruvians Starting July 2025 Announced

Effective July 1, 2025, Japan will ease its current policy requiring Peruvian nationals to obtain a visa before entering the country for short-term stays. Once the new policy takes effect, holders of valid Peruvian ordinary International Civil Aviation Organization-compliant Integrated Circuit passports will be able to enter Japan without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism, business, and other short-term purposes.
