Kazakhstan: Simplified Permit for Permanent Stay Application Process for In-Demand Professions

Foreign nationals in one of 21 professions, including information technology infrastructure architects, engineers, software architects, oncologists and neurosurgeons, will be exempt from the requirement to prove a certain level of funds or income when applying for a permit for permanent stay (PPS). The exemption will decrease the document gathering requirements for these foreign nationals and allow for a faster processing time. The PPS is issued for up to 10 years or for the duration of a foreign national’s passport, whichever is less.
