Since May 1, 2023, the Chinese government has been accepting digital APEC Business Travel Cards (ABTCs) for entry into Mainland China. As part of this policy, the government is offering an exemption from visa fees for ABTC holders who have received pre-clearance from Chinese authorities and who do not possess a physical ABTC. Digital ABTC holders can verify their pre-clearance status through the ABTC website. APEC physical cards can also still be used for entry to China.
