Mozambique: e-Visa Platform and Visa Waiver Implementation Delayed
November 29, 2022
As an update, the e-Visa digital platform that was to be launched in October has been delayed and the digital platform is not yet available for use. This service will be for foreign nationals to obtain pre-approval for tourism, investment, and business travel and to submit visa application documents online. Applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application within five calendar days on the platform. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive a digital pre-authorization travel document on the platform which they can present to the National Migration Service officer at the point of entry in Mozambique. As another update, the visa waiver program is also yet to be implemented (the government has not confirmed the exact date) and foreign nationals are advised to still apply on the SIGAV - Scheduling and Validation Management System - SENAMI for a visa.
