Netherlands: Highly Skilled Migrants Family Members Expressly Granted Stay Abroad Rights

The Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service has expressly clarified that accompanying family members of Highly Skilled Migrant permit holders may remain outside the Netherlands for up to eight months where the principal permit holder is abroad for work purposes. Previously, the Immigration and Naturalization Service’s website stated that such a right applied to Highly Skilled Migrant residence permit holders, but was silent regarding their family members.
