Partner Scott FitzGerald spoke at the recent New England Business Immigration Summit focused on federal immigration reform. The summit heard from business, higher education and political leaders, and included Senator Ed Markey, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Senator Angus King, Lawrence Bacow, President, Harvard University and David Green, President, Colby College.
During the summit Scott highlighted the immigration needs of the business community in the US, which include, timely adjudication of cases, clarity for foreign students that a clear path to post-study employment will continue to exist, and the need for Congress to implement a solution that will clear the backlog of Green Card applications.
