This digital card is intended to monitor the duration of stay for all travelers, identify overstays, and automatically trigger applicable penalties, including visa bans. The measure is part of broader immigration reforms introduced by the Nigerian Ministry of Interior to streamline border control processes and align Nigeria’s talent mobility policies with international standards. Travelers are advised that technical issues may arise on the portal as the new system is rolled out.
